    Abu Dhabi Oct hotel revenues up 5%

    (MENAFN) The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) said that in October, revenues from hotel restaurants and bars went up 5 percent from 2010's same period, driven by food and beverage sales, reported The National. The ADTA added that the contribution of food and beverage revenue to total revenue was 37 percent of total year-to-date revenue which reached USD345.7 million, with an increase of 9 percent over 2010. It also said that during the period, revenues from rooms grew 1 percent and the number of guests who stayed in the capital's hotels surged 21 percent over last year to 182,553 guests. It also said that occupancy in October grew 7 percent, however, since room rates dropped 11 percent to an average USD133.11, revenue per available room slipped 5 percent to USD102.6.
