    Royal Jordanian's Oct revenue up 8%

    (MENAFN) Royal Jordanian president and CEO, Hussein Dabbas, said that the airline's operating revenues reached USD85 million last month, with an increase of 8 percent over last year's USD78 million, reported Arabian Business. Dababs added that due to a growth in operational traffic and a rise in the number of frequencies and flying hours, operating cost, excluding fuel, went up to USD57.6 million from USD53 million in 2010. He also said that the carrier was unable from achieving net profit in the period, mainly due to the constant rise and fall in fuel prices, adding that Royal Jordanian paid USD34 million as a fuel bill in October, recording a surge of 42 percent over 2010. It is worth noting that Royal Jordanian's operating profit during October reached USD26 million.
