    IATA MENA of a possible sky bottleneck

    (MENAFN) The International Air Transport Association (IATA) warned aviation stakeholders in the MENA region from a possible sky bottleneck, Arabian Business reported. IATA CEO Tony Tyler said that if air navigation service providers are unable to keep ahead of the traffic growth. Middle East countries plan a USD100 billion investment in airports expansions. He added that safety must be the top priority to tackle amid the rapid growth. He cited that MENA carriers currently account for over 11 percent of international traffic compared to less than 7 percent in 2004.
