GM sales up 11% in ME

(MENAFN) General Motors' Middle East Operations' president and managing director, John Stadwick, said that the carmaker's sales in the Middle East last month grew 11 percent over the same period a year ago to 11,545 units, reported Arabian business. Stadwick added that the increase resulted from the growing demand over the company's brands that included Chevrolet, which sales jumped by 15 percent, the Cadillac, which sales rose 10 percent, and the GMC, which sales remained flat during October. He also said that the biggest increase in October sales was attributed to GM's recently launched vehicles, including the Chevrolet Cruze, Cadillac SRX and GMC Terrain, which surged 49 percent over last year's same period. It is worth noting that retail sales to individual clients hiked 55 percent, driven by soaring showroom traffic in the period of Eid Al Adha.
