    Gulf states warn against Lebanon travel

    (MENAFN) Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) Secretary General Abdulatif Al Zayani stated that Arab countries from the Gulf region have issued a travel warning for Lebanon, reported Arabian Business. Al Zayani explained that the ongoing violent conflict in Syria has affected Lebanon and thus made governments warn its citizens not to visit a very popular location for tourism. The Secretary General added that the city of Tripoli north of Lebanon saw the beginning of sectarian violence which made the situation usafe for GCC visitors. It is worth noting that Gulf states the UAE and Kuwait have already issued their own warnings for traveling to Lebanon. The GCC countries also include Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain.
