HEC wins deal for 2400MW power project in UAE

(MENAFN) Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has picked Hassyan Energy Company for a mega EPC contract to Harbin Electric International and General Electric (GE).

In detail, HEC will work on the project to generate 2.400 megawatts (MW) Clean Coal for a joint venture between Dewa (51 per cent) and Acwa Power Harbin Holding Company (49 per cent).

Moreover, the project comes after closing a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between Dewa and Saudi-based Acwa Power for the development of phase one of the Hassyan Clean Coal IPP project.

The first clean coal power plant in the Middle East, Hassyan will see the ultra-supercritical plant deliver best in class performance on efficiency, output and adherence to global environmental best practices.
