Duqm airport terminal to start work by year-end
(MENAFN) A new terminal building at the Duqm airport, which started ops three years ago, will be ready to deliver passengers by the end of the year or Jan next year.
Meanwhile, the airport will have a cargo building, fire-fighting building and several other support facilities, whereas Larsen & Toubro is building the terminal and other related facilities at the airport.
In addition, the greenfield airport, will have facilities, like two air bridges, four remote aircraft stands, a four-kilometer long runway and two link taxi ways.
Since main work on the USD7bn-Duqm refinery and many other projects is about to start, passenger demand between Muscat and Duqm will grow tremendously.
