    Abu Dhabi witness 5.3% decrease in non-oil trade reaching $36.4bn

    (MENAFN) In 2017 first ten months, a 5.3% drop has been seen within Abu Dhabi ports in the non-oil foreign trade worth from AED141.3 billion during 2016 of the same period to AED133.8 billion.

    Based on the Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi figures, the decrease has been an aftermath of a 22.8% drop struck in non-oil exports from AED24.3 billion to AED18.8 billion, as re-exports decreased by 7% while imports by 0.6% in comparison with 2016 in the same period.

    In October, compared to 2016 in the same period, a 3% drop of the total trade has occurred as a result of falls seen in re-exports by 23.8% and imports by 7.8%. Meanwhile, non-oil exports witnessed a 56.7% boost in the same period.
