Bentley to invest USD9m in ME's operations

(MENAFN) Bentley Motors said that during the coming 6 months, the luxury UK carmaker would spend around USD9 million on its Middle East operations, reported Arabian Business. The automaker added that last year, it sold 7,000 cars in the region, offsetting sluggish demand in other larger markets including the US and Europe. It also said that it planned to capitalize on growing demand in the region with the launch of the brand's largest workshop globally in Dubai; moreover, new showrooms would be also opened in Abu Dhabi and Jeddah. It is worth noting that the Volkswagen-owned brand, which was hit hard by the 2008-2009 global financial crisis and recovered only partially in 2011, is expecting double-digit growth during 2012.
