    Saudi stops cement exports

(MENAFN) Saudi Ministry of Commerce said that it decided to renew the ban imposed on cement and clinker exports, reported The Peninsula. The ministry added that the decision came due to growing demand at the Kingdom, where multi-billion infrastructure projects were under way. It also said that the move conformed to the ministry's regulations which require meeting the demands of the local market, which reached 48 million tons in 2011, having enough supply, and stability in local prices. It is worth noting that Saudi partially lifted its ban on cement exports in 2009.
