    Iran to set up power plant in Syria

    (MENAFN) Iran Power Plant Projects Management Company's (MAPNA) managing director, Abbas Aliabadi, said that the firm would build a 470 megawatts (MW) power plant in Syria, reported Tehran Times. Aliabadi added that the total generation capacity of Iranian-made power plants in Syria would increase to 1,300 MW once the new plant starts operations. On the other hand, Iranian Energy Minister, Majid Namjou, said that his country is ready to export electricity to Syria and Lebanon in May through the Iraqi power grid. It is worth noting that the new power plant in Syria would be completed in 28 months.
