    Saudi railway project worth USD5.33b

    (MENAFN) The chairman of Saudi Railway Company (SAR), Mansour Al Maiman, revealed the cost of the North-South railway the country is planning at USD5.33 billion, reported Arabian Business. The project includes a railway that connects the North and South of Saudi Arabia, beginning from Riyadh, ending with Hudaitha and passing by Sudair, Qassim, Hail and Al Jouf. It also links the phosphate and bauxite mines in Jelamaid and Baitha, with industrial plants in Ras Al Khair, Jubail and Dammam. It is worth noting that this cost does not include compesnations that would be paid to real estate owners.
