    Air Arabia supports its Egypt, Morocco bases with new aircrafts

    (MENAFN) Sharjah-based Air Arabia is supporting its bases in Morocco and Egypt with fresh airplanes to tap a recovery in demand for travel, after the political turmoil that spread across the region, Bloomberg reported. CEO Adel Ali said the carrier recently added a jet in Alexandria and is deploying another this year in Casablanca to operate European routes. Air Arabia will also increase frequencies to Moscow and India, he added. Ali said that the airline received one Airbus SAS A320 this year and will get five more. Last month, the low cost airline reported a 7 percent increase in profits to USD21 million fin the fourth quarter. It carried 4.7 million passengers last year, a 6 percent growth from 2010.
