    Dubai Taxi Corp widens its fleet

    (MENAFN) Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) inked a deal with Al Futtaim Motors to add hundreds of new vehicles to its fleet, Arabian Business reported. Under the deal, Al-Futtaim will supply 543 new Toyota Camry vehicles to the Roads and Transport Authority unit. Ahmed Hashim Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA Licensing Agency & head of the committee overseeing the DTC said that Toyota vehicles account for the majority of the fleet, with 1,997 taxicabs. Last month, DTC reported 28 percent increase in profits to USD39.74 million last year from USD31.22 million in 2010. Revenue rose 22 percent to to more than USD272 million.
