    Orange Jordan spends USD114m to introduce 3G services

    (MENAFN) Orange Jordan said that it has invested USD114 million to bring 3G services and boost the broadband penetration in the country, reported Gulf News. The integrated telecommunication services provider added that in the last decade, nearly USD700 million have been invested to establish infrastructure. Moreover, the company has inked a deal with Ericsson to expand and modernize its 3G network, in order to meet the demands of its subscriber base. It is worth noting that Orange Jordan's broadband network covers about 95 percent of the Kingdom, according to the firm, which added that it has 5,000km of fiber optic cable to businesses and is enlarging it by 2-3km a day.
