    Audi plans new showrooms across ME

    (MENAFN) German luxury carmaker Audi unveiled plans to spend as much as USD204 million on new showrooms across the Middle East, Arabian Business reported. The company said it plans to open seven new facilities planned between now and 2015, including Oman, Iraq, Lebanon and Abu Dhabi. CEO Jeff Mannering said that the company also plans to replace its existing 'hanger' facilities with new luxury terminal buildings, each based on an entirely different design, featuring valet parking and exclusive floors. He added that the firm is planning to complete an additional 153 terminals worldwide this year, and aiming to sell 10,000 cars in the Middle East alone. Audi, which employs more than 50,000 people worldwide, sold 1.3m cars globally in 2011, and completed the construction of 265 new terminal showrooms, including a facility in Al Khobar in Saudi Arabia.
