Golden Tulip plans to open 10 Royal Tulip hotels in MENA

(MENAFN) European hotelier Golden Tulip plans to introduce its luxury five-star hotel brand "Royal Tulip" in the Middle East and North Africa region, Hotelier Middle East reported. Golden Tulip MENA president Amine Moukarzel said the group is aiming to open 10 Royal Tulip in the region within the next three to four years. The group has stopped plans to open two Royal Tulip hotels in Madinah in Saudi Arabia and Manamah in Bahrain in the wake of the Arab Spring. However, the Royal Tulip Amman in Jordan has been signed and is on track to open in October 2013, with further openings set to follow, the group said. The company, part of Europe's Louvre Hotels Group, currently operates 44 hotels in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon and Tunisia under its three-star Tulip Inn and four-star Golden Tulip brands.
