Oman's average crude output in H1 hits 902,000 bpd

(MENAFN) Official data showed that Oman's crude oil and condensate output during the first half of 2012 is on track to achieve output target of 915,000 bpd this year, Reuters reported. New discoveries and enhanced oil recovery projects in a number of fields have helped the country raise its oil output. Average crude output during the first six months of the year edged up to 902,000 bpd, compared with 878,800 bpd a year earlier. Oman's daily average output hit 932,000 bpd in May, up from 888,700 barrels in April, before slightly falling to 924,100 in June. The small Gulf crude oil producer exported 133.6 million barrels of crude in the first six months; all of which was shipped to Asia, led by China. That compares with 131.2 million barrels a year earlier.
