Premier Inn plans 50 hotels in Saudi Arabia in 10 years

(MENAFN) British budget hotel chain Premier Inn unveiled plans to expand its chain into Saudi Arabia within the coming years, Arabian Business reported. Managing director of Premier Inn Middle East & Africa Darroch Crawford said that the company plans to open 50 hotels across the Gulf Kingdom over the next 10 years. Premier Inn is considering a rapid expansion throughout the Middle East and Africa, with hotels currently under construction at Abu Dhabi International Airport and Doha Education City to add to the four already open in the UAE, Crawford said. In addition to the UK, where it has more than 630 hotels totalling 50,000 rooms, Premier Inn currently has development teams in place in Dubai, New Delhi and Singapore. Crawford also unveiled plans to further expand in the GCC, Morocco, Kenya, South Africa, Turkey, India, Sri Lanka and Asia Pacific.
