(MENAFN) Jordan-based Amlak Hotels & Tourism Investment Company unveiled plans to open more hotels across the GCC region over the next five years, with multiple properties already signed in Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Oman, Hotelier Middle East reported. The company already operates hotels in Dubai and Amman under its Belle Vue brand, with plans to enter Saudi Arabia this year. CEO Naji Alia said that Amlak is set to open two hotels in Dammam, one expected to the 3-star Belle Vue Inn in within two months this year, and the 5-star Grand Belle Vue Al Shraa in February 2013. The operator also has a five-star 'Grand Belle Vue' hotel under construction in Riyadh, on Olaya Street, which is expected to open within 18 months and is said to have plans for an opening in Jeddah. Amlak also has a hotel signed in Jebel Ali Downtown and hotel apartments in Dubai Marina which were put on hold during the financial crisis, but Alia said he is in discussions with the respective developers to restart both projects. He added that the company has set its eyes on Kuwait's Slmiya area and Qatar. The Belle Vue brand includes three tiers: three-star Belle Vue Inn, four-star Belle Vue Hotels and five-star Grand Belle Vue, and specializes in hotels that do not serve alcohol and offer guests high levels of privacy. But Alia said the brand is not only targeted at GCC travelers.
