(MENAFN) Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) has awarded a contract to US-based First Solar Inc. to build a 13MW photovoltaic (PV) solar power plant in Dubai, WAM news agency reported. Under the deal, First Solar will provide engineering, procurement and construction services, as well as its advanced thin-film PV modules for "Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park" project. The contract also includes the construction of the first phase of the project, the substation and connection to the grid.
