    Saudi- Shifa Al Jazeera to invest USD259m in Oman

    (MENAFN) Saudi Shifa Al Jazeera's chairman and managing director, Mohammed Rabeeh Rabeeullh, stated that the medical group plans USD259 million expansion plan in the Sultanate of Oman, reported Arabian Business. Rabeeullh said that the amount will be used to establish 13 medical centers in the Sultanate, adding that 2 hospitals, comprising 150 beds, will be set up in Ruwi and Al Qwair, and will be ready for operations by 2014's first quarter, whereas a medical center will be established in Barka. The company has awarded the first phase construction contract to Alisco. It is worth noting that as part of its second phase of expansion, Shifa Al Jazeera plans to set up hospitals in Al Khoud, Sohar and Salalah and medical centers in Duqum, Suwaiq, Khaboura, Buraimi, Ibri and Falaj Al Kabail.
