    Oman, India to boost flights capacity

    (MENAFN) Oman's civil aviation authority and its Indian counterpart signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost flights capacity between the two states, reported Arabian Business citing Oman News Agency. According to the MoU, the maximum capacity for the countries' national carriers will grow to 16,016 seats a week from the current 11,500. The Indian airlines will distribute the extra seats on flights from airports in India to the Sultanate's Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport. On the other hand, Oman Air, the Omani national carrier, will distribute the new seats across 14 weekly flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai, and 7 weekly flights to Bangalore, Calicut, Jaipur, Kochi, Trivandrum and Lucknow, in addition to 6 weekly flights to Goa.
