(MENAFN) US-based Pfizer Inc stated that it will establish a new manufacturing factory in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) in Saudi Arabia, reported Arabian Business. Keith Dennie, vice president Operations, said that the plant, which will have an annual output capacity of 18 million packs, will start operations in 2015. He added that the plant will comprise medicine solid dose manufacturing, packaging, and warehousing facilities, and will produce a variety of Pfizer's medicines, which are supplied to the Kingdom at the current time. It is worth noting that the plant, which will create new job opportunities for Saudis, will make the transfer of Pfizer's expertise to the local market easier, making sure that production meets the company's exact and globally recognized quality standards.
