    Saudi to open USD93.3m village for visually impaired in 2014

    (MENAFN) Saudi Ibsar Charity Society's board chairman, Ahmed Mohammed Ali, announced that the Kingdom is planning a USD93.3 million village for people with visual impairment, reported Arabian Business. Ali said that the Ibsar Charity Village, which is scheduled to open early next year, would comprise a plant that will be 50-percent run by the visually impaired. Furthermore, the village will include a unit for poor vision rehabilitation, an early intervention centre, mosque, conference hall, and staff housing, in addition to a shopping centre, gas station, and fitness club. He added that the village will span over an area of nearly 2.2 million sq m, and will be located in Osfan on the outskirts of Jeddah. It is worth noting that proceeds from the project are forecasted to reach USD45.32 million in the first of five years of operation.
