Nissan's Patrol sales in ME surge 66% in 2012

(MENAFN) Nissan Middle East Sales & Marketing Director, Samir Cherfan, stated that the Japanese carmaker's Patrol sales in the region soared by 66 percent in 2012, exceeding 14,000 units, reported Emirates 24/7. Cherfan said that the year was Nissan's best selling year for the 4-wheel car since its introduction in 2010. He added that the outstanding increase allowed Nissan Patrol to garner a market share of 22 percent in the Gulf market. The director noted that over 40 Japanese engineers completed a total of 13,265 hours of testing in the region to evaluate Patrol's performance and durability before it was launched 3 years ago. It is worth noting that the vehicle's features, including the independent body motion control system, around view monitor and remote engine start, are the main factors that tempt the region's customers to acquire the Patrol, according to Cherfan.
