    Riyadh airport to grow capacity to 35.5m by 2015

    (MENAFN) Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) stated that King Khaled International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh to grow its capacity to 35.5 million passengers by 2015, reported Arabian Business. The expansion aimed at developing tourism services in the Kingdom, and to overtake King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah by making KKIA the biggest airport in the country. It is worth noting that in 2011, KKIA saw around 15 million travelers passing through, against 22 million passengers passing through the King Abdulaziz International Airport, according to GACA.
