    Mutual trade between Arab world, Brazil to rise 10% in 2013

    (MENAFN) The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce's CEO, Michel Abdo Alaby, stated that during the current year, bilateral trade between Brazil and the Arab countries is projected to grow by 10 percent, reported Arabian Business. Alaby added that trade value in 2013 will hit USD27.4 billion between the two sides, up from USD25 billion recorded in 2012. The CEO noted that Brazil's exports to the Arab world stood at USD15 billion last year. As for trade between Brazil and countries of the GCC, Alaby said that trade value reached USD17.5 billion in 2012. It is worth noting that the region's main imports from Brazil in 2012 comprised medical equipment, building materials, cosmetics, and car and aircraft parts.
