Saudi nasair to launch passenger operations from DWC in Oct

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia's nasair stated that starting October 28, the airline will start passenger services at Dubai World Central (DWC), the emirate's second airport, with 50 weekly flights between Dubai and several cities in the Kingdom, reported Arabian Business. The company's CEO, Captain Francois Bouteiller, stated that the carrier will be the first MENA-based airline to start passenger operations from DWC, the world's first purpose-built aerotropolis. The carrier, whose current network covers 88 routes, expects the launch to boost air traffic to the Middle East, mainly to Dubai. It is worth noting that year-to-date; nasair's passenger traffic has climbed by 20 percent from 2012's same period, and the number of flights have risen by 11 percent.
