(MENAFN) The US Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service reported that Egypt's imports of wheat are expected to cost USD1.6 billion to USD1.8 billion, according to Khaleej Times. The estimated ammount is projected based on the costs to meet the Baladi bread program needs. Egypt bought more than one million metric tons of wheat from Ukraine and Romania. It is expected that the remaining amount of supplies will last to the next January.
