Wheat supply in Egypt to last until early March

(MENAFN) The Egyptian supply minister said that the country's supply of wheat is enough to last to March 5, The Peninsula reported. The minister said that Egypt imported 2.3 million tons of wheat in the last period, not stating a specific time for the purchases. The main wheat buying entity in the government had recently purchased 240,000 tons of wheat from Romanian and French suppliers. Egypt is the world's largest importer of wheat as it needs flour for its bread subsidy program.
