Why would some prices stay unaffected by the new tax
(MENAFN) Why would some prices stay unaffected by the new taxPrices are not in the same level, it varies due to the disturbance between sellers, as the UAE"s recent edited tax was less than the globally applied on Sunday. There were shops still selling goods with the same old price, consumables like energy drinks and tobacco were supposed double its prices under the tax, however; when soft drinks went down with price. The amended tax has been applied on October 1. Experts confirm that the new tax will reflect their new prices within a month, including shops, restaurants and hotel, on a side note, they are still indecisive on the cause of variant prices.According to the senior manager in the indirect tax department at Deloitte, Adrienne D"rose, some sellers have legal levels of stores they need to sell so they can update their prices, as this was the reason behind keeping the prices.
