    Qatar: LNG merger to save QP operation costs USD550mln annually

    (MENAFN) Qatar Petroleum's chief executive announced that merger Qatargas and RasGas, producers of liquefied natural gas (LNG), are to spare the company $550 million yearly in operation expenses.

    Operations have commenced on January 1st by Qatargas, a recent entity, even before the merger were considered as the most major LNG producers around the globe.

    During a press conference, QP's CEO Saad al-Kaabi explained "this integration is an integral part of Qatar Petroleum's vision to become one of the best national oil and gas companies in the world, with roots in Qatar and a strong international presence."
