    Abu Dhabi hotel guests record 9.8 percent increase

    (MENAFN) Abu Dhabi 162 hotels and hotel apartments have served a total of 4.875 million guests throughout the past year, scoring a year-on-year increase of 9.8%.

    Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi have published the data which found the quantity of Abu Dhabi guests to have seen an increase of 10.3% to 4,295,030. Meanwhile, Al Ain guests rose to 5.5% to 450,328 while Al Dhafra recorded an 8.2% increase to 130,180.

    "Record numbers of people are visiting Abu Dhabi year after year and we continue to go from strength to strength in positioning ourselves as a distinctive global tourist destination steeped in culture and heritage," director general Saif Saeed stated.

    He continued "Abu Dhabi's unique cultural archetypes, combined with diverse natural landscapes, cultural and historic sites, dynamic family-leisure entertainment and ambitious business opportunities, will continue to stimulate visitation and help us grow by 11 percent per annum to achieve 8.5 million visitors by 2021."
