Kuwaiti VIVA to upgrade WIFI experience for GCC Cup 2017
(MENAFN) Kuwaiti telecom operator VIVA is set to update its last mile network with Huawei's Super Dual Band, SDB "E-Band" technology.
The upgrade is looking to offer a flawless broadband experience throughout the GCC Cup 2017, a major event that is to take place at Jaber Al-Ahmad Stadium and Kaifan Stadium.
The operator is determined to provide an excellent internet experience during the event period in stadium to support its prominent position in Kuwait Information and Telecommunication sector that is constantly growing.
"VIVA is the first company in Kuwait to bring SDB solution in order to expand the capability of existed traditional back-hauling systems up to 20Gbps transmission speed "E-Band" and to provide fiber like alternative solution. VIVA has used the new technology to avoid long time fiber deployment and to ensure extreme capacity availability in the stadium during the event period," CEO Eng Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Badran stated.
