Iran, Italian company sign USD100m power plant construction deal
(MENAFN) Iran has reportedly made an agreement with Italy's company Carlo Maresca for a solar power plant to be built in Semnan.
The Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran was confirmed to have signed a USD100 million agreement with the Italian company.
The construction of the power plant which has a 100 megawatt capacity, under the terms of the deal, is to take place on a 2,000-hectare area, nearby Garmsar Special Economic Zone, and is to be completed in fifteen months.
It comes as part of Italy's Carlo Maresca construction project of a 10-megawatt solar power plant in Qeshm Free Trade Zone.
