    Turkey records 7.4 percent economic growth

    (MENAFN) The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) showed the economy to have recorded a 7.4 percent growth last year from the previous year.

    Statistics have found an increase in GDP at current prices, reaching USD850.7 billion, a 19 percent boost compared to 2016.

    Turkish economic growth was also found to have scored a 7.3 percent boost in 2017's fourth quarter from 2016 during the same period.

    TurkStat also revealed "gross domestic product increased by 19 percent and reached 889.2 billion liras ($234 billion) at current prices."
