Egypt to begin construction of Assiut-Sohag Western Desert Road flagship
(MENAFN) The Egyptian Transport Ministry was declared to have authorized the launched of the USD65.3 billion Assiut-Sohag Western Desert Road project, granting the flagship to 4 contractors.
The announcement was made by Minister Hesham Arafat as he revealed the four construction firms to carry out the project.
The firms were confirmed to be Hassan Allam, Orascom Construction (OC), Nile Company for Road Construction, and General Nile Company for Construction and Road Paving.
The minister further declared "the operating firms are to complete the project (Assiut-Sohag Western Desert Road) before the end of December 2018."
