    Egypt to record further drop in raw, white sugar prices in May

    (MENAFN) Egypt is expected to maintain a continuous decline of its global costs in raw and white sugar up until May of this year.

    The drop was found in a report which was released by the Chamber of Food Industries in the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI).

    The cost of a ton of refrained white sugar has dropped to USD355 during March from USD359 in February, with the FEI expecting it to decline to USD350 in May.

    The report of the FEI also expects the price of raw sugar to drop to USD270 by May, from USD279 in March, a price which was reached from USD295 in February.
