    Iran promotes national currencies in trade with Brazil

    (MENAFN) Tehran Times daily reported Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to have proposed national currencies to be employed in trade relations with Brazil.

    The foreign minister urged Iran and Brazil for the use of their own national currencies when it comes to dealings related to areas including economic ties, cooperation in oil, as well as launching projects in nano-technology, biotechnology and aerospace.

    During a meeting with Brazilian President Michel Temer, the Iranian foreign minister called for a crackdown on obstructions to banking ties between Iran and Brazil.

    He also promoted for more political talks and discussions to be held among both countries, confirming that Tehran supports Brazilian investment in the Iranian gas and oil industry.
