Iraqi Basra Oil, Chevron to execute agreement on oil fields development
(MENAFN) Iraq's Basra Oil Company was unveiled to have reached an agreement with Chevron to start the execution of a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing fields in the south of the country.
The news has been announced on Sunday by the Iraqi oil ministry in a statement issued on its website.
The Iraqi ministry confirmed executives from both companies to have inked a deal, outlining an initiate for the development of the fields.
It comes after Oil Minister Jabar al-Luaibi declared in June that an agreement has been signed by Iraqi state-run companies Basra Oil and Dhi Qar Oil with Chevron.
