Saudi Arabia to see boost in non-oil economic growth: IMF

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia is expected to see a raise in its non-oil economic growth in 2018 as it proceeds with its economic reform plans.

This forecast for a pick up comes even after Saudi Arabia saw a hold up in the planned sale of shares in national oil giant Saudi Aramco.

The statement has been made by the International Monetary Fund's mission chief for Saudi Arabia, Tim Callen while speaking to reporters following annual consultations with the Saudi government.

The senior IMF official stated "Aramco was one part of the reform program. Other parts are moving ahead pretty well."

The IMF confirmed that "growth is expected to pick up further over the medium term as the reforms take hold and oil output increases."
