Israel food tech center project to deliver better food future

(MENAFN) Israel's under-construction food tech center is expected to get together excellent personnel to join their hands on the future of food.

The purpose behind such a plan was explained to be "helping the obese western world and the starving third world."

The center is being established in the northernmost Upper Galilee region on the border with Lebanon, and is set to be launched by next year.

The center is to most likely gather together great minds from fields of industry, research, and academia.

The statement has been made by Michal Fink, deputy director general for Strategy, Policy, and Planning at Israeli Ministry of Economy, during an interview with Xinhua.

Fink stated "this is the first time we are establishing in Israel a special region only for food tech industry."

He added "our mission is to make it a flourishing technology center to deliver the world a better, healthier and affordable food technology that will both help the obese western world and the starving third world."
