Israel commences USD280m initiative on energy efficiency
(MENAFN) Israel was announced to have initiated a program aimed at encouraging energy efficiency through saving electricity and lessening greenhouse gas emissions.
The launch of the USD280 million program was unveiled by Israel's Ministry of Energy on Thursday.
Israel, under the program, is seeking out financial institutions for loans with state guarantees to be presented to factories, domestic municipalities as well as commercial centers.
The guarantee mechanism was confirmed to be running for the following ten years, with a joint committee of the three ministries to be reviewing electricity consumers' loans appeals.
