Israel's Chinese tourists jump 30 percent

(MENAFN) Israel was unveiled to have seen a growing number of arrivals from China by the end of August, recording around 30 percent boost.

The Israeli Ministry of Tourism showed in its data the country to have welcomed around 8,700 visitors from China, from the 6,700 people seen in 2017.

Israel however registered a significant decline in Chinese tourists when compared to the first six months of this year.

The decline was a result of a travel warning the Chinese government announced last December after the US decided to move its embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv.
