Qatar Petroleum, Japan's Marubeni ink 5-year Naphtha supply deal
(MENAFN) Qatar Petroleum and Japan's Marubeni Corporation signed a five-year sales deal on the supply of Naphtha.
Under the agreement, the Japanese corporation is to receive an overall of 1.2 million metric tons of Naphtha per year from Qatar Petroleum.
This agreement is considered the most major one ever since the two sides begun their naphtha business more than three decades ago.
"This contract will further enhance the strategic partnership and relationship between Qatar Petroleum and Marubeni Corporation. Both our entities have been working together for decades and have enjoyed a fruitful partnership," stated Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, president and CEO of Qatar Petroleum.
Al-Kaabi added that "the State of Qatar is a trusted supplier of energy to Japan, and through cooperation with partners like Marubeni Corporation, we can help meet Japan's growing need for energy products."
