    Sri Lanka, Kuwait to revive trade ties

    (MENAFN) Sri Lanka sent a delegation to Kuwait, aiming for the two countries to see a rebound in their bilateral trade relations.

    Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen is leading the Sri Lankan delegation which includes officials from the Ministries of Industry and Commerce, Finance, and Foreign Affairs.

    Bathiudeen stated: "we are reviving the Sri Lanka-Kuwait Joint Trade Committee after 21 years. This shall be a new turning point in the long-standing Kuwaiti-Sri Lanka relations."

    The statement has been made while speaking to Kuwait's Ambassador to Sri Lanka Khalaf Bu Dhhair in preparatory talks on the Second Session of Sri Lanka-Kuwait Joint Trade Committee.
