    Iran's export price index posts 240 percent surge

    (MENAFN) Iran recorded a significant boost in its export price index (EPI) by September 22 to reach 849.2 percent.

    The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) found a 240-percent jump in the export price index (EPI) in the 12 months to September 22.

    During the same period, Iran stood was hit with a 3.27-percent drop in its exported non-oil goods with 56.6 million tons, according to data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

    The total value of Iranian non-oil exports stood at over USD23 billion during the period, with imports reaching USD22.1 billion and a trade surplus of USD940 million.
