UAE snatches 1st place in Islamic economy
(MENAFN) The UAE snatched the first place in the Islamic economic growth, leading five sectors which include Halal Food, Halal Travel, Modest Fashion, Halal Media and Recreation, and Halal Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics.
The ranking was shown in the State of the Global Islamic Economy Report 2018/19 released by Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre (DIEDC) under the title 'An Inclusive Ethical Economy'.
"The rise in the country's standing testifies to the commitment of DIEDC's partners to implementing the Centre's initiatives, as well as the success of the UAE's sustainable development drive as part of its post-oil economy vision," as stated DIEDC Minister of Economy and Chairman Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri.
However, on an international level, the Global Islamic Economy Indicator of the UAE was ranked second.
