Saudi Aramco launches R&D center in Russia
(MENAFN) Saudi Aramco was declared to have launched a new upstream research and development (R&D) centre in Russia.
The petroleum and natural gas giant in Saudi Arabia inaugurated the center in Lomonosov Moscow State University.
The center is considered the 9th R&D facility for the Saudi giant to be launched outside Saudi Arabia, with an aim to prioritize upstream technologies in simulation and modeling, superior materials, data analytics as well as artificial intelligence.
The benefits of the unit were assured to be including the boost of joint research initiatives, mainly with MSU along with other entities in Russia.
"Saudi Aramco welcomes the collaboration with Lomonosov Moscow State University, an institution globally renowned for its centuries-old tradition of academic excellence, and its importance to the oil and gas industry," stated the giant's President and CEO Amin H. Nasser.
